Professional Care Workers’ Week: Motion & CWC Fundraiser

It’s Professional Care Workers’ Week (Monday 14th - Friday 18th September). Every single day we are blown away by the selfless, inspiring feats of care professionals that we have the privilege to work with up and down the UK, and we wanted to set ourselves a little challenge to celebrate and advocate for these incredible people. 

So, throughout the month of September, the Motion team and a small handful of our investors will exercise for a total of 24,785 minutes. 

We have picked (£)24,785 because it's the annual salary of someone on minimum wage. Which is the case for many care professionals.

Care is fundamentally high-skilled, emotionally demanding work and we believe it should be remunerated as such.

We recognise that it's never as simple as shaking a magic money tree, but if we really want to fix social care, then those who decide on how much funding it gets may want to consider how fair or sustainable this is.
