Putting people at the heart of innovation: we've secured £270k to scale across the UK

Motion is the care technology company transforming how care homes deliver person-centred care and engage with their circle of support, and we've secured £270,000 funding to accelerate our development and expansion. Our platform, which has already supported 3,000+ people across care settings, combines investment from sector-experienced angels with an Innovate UK partnership grant.

Developed through extensive collaboration with care providers, residents and families, our platform addresses two critical sector challenges: increasing the quality of care through outcome-focused activity provision and achieving better outcomes while reducing the administrative burden on care teams. Early adopters report an improvement in the quality of lives of the people support, the evidence they have access to and a reduction in time spent updating the family and friends of the people they support.
Our founder and CEO, Zeezy Izenman, started Motion after his experience growing up with his step-brother, Sulaymaan, who has autism with high support needs. This led him to volunteering in care settings during his studies at the University of Sheffield, where he recognised the gap between the quality of care being delivered and what is being evidenced.

"The Motion team are incredible - they're very skilled and we love having them working with our care homes," said Claire Rintoul, CEO of Sheffcare.
The funding will support product development focused on integration with existing care management systems, enhanced analytics for care planning, and expansion of our partnerships team to serve the growing demand from care providers nationwide.
We've been recognised by the BBC and The Times for our person-centred approach to care delivery.
